Methodist minister makes tracks to South Africa for sabbatical year

BRIGG Methodist minister the Rev Enid Knowles will be taking a sabbatical in the early summer, part of which will be spent on a project in South Africa.

The church has recently welcomed Jonathan Gregory as a new member and also commissioned him and Pyllis Tinkler as Worship Leaders.

The whole building was closed for a week, while the wooden floors, which run throughout the whole building, were sanded, treated and varnished.

Meanwhile, members are getting ready for major celebrations in 2013 when the present Barnard Avenue building celebrates its Golden Jubilee - 50 years since the church was opened on the present site.
