Market Rasen woman dies following crash in on A157 at Grimblethorpe

An elderly woman from Market Rasen has died following a road traffic collision on the A157 at Grimblethorpe.

Emergency services were called to the area at 2.15pm on Sunday 1 June after a Skoda Octavia was involved in a collision with a Fiat Punto.

Injuries were initially thought to be minor but the driver of the Punto, an 86 year-old woman, later took a turn for the worse and sadly died in hospital in Grimsby.

The occupants of the Skoda were a 36 year-old woman and a 5 year-old boy from Tattershall Thorpe, and they were treated for shock and seat belt injuries.
