More than £1,000 worth of damage was caused to construction equipment in Mill Road Playing Field, Market Rasen, by arsonists on Saturday November 30.
A portable toilet was set alight and damage was caused to the tarmac. The play park is currently shut as it is undergoing a major redevelopment, but town councillor Margaret Lakin-Whitworth said she had confronted four 12-year-old boys who had climbed over the fence and were playing in the park on the evening of the arson attack.
Details have been passed to the police but anyone with information should call 101.
The park development should be completed by Christmas.
