Lincolnshire court registers

Bernard Grainger, 69, of George, Street, Broughton, has pleaded not guilty to a string of sex offences, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on June 2.

The court was told how Mr Grainger has been accused of two counts of inciting a girl under 14 to commit an act of gross indecency with himself, between March 1989 and March 1991.

He is also accused of two counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14, between March 1989 and March 1991.

Mr Grainger has pleaded not guilty to all four charges.

Magistrates have sent the case to Grimsby Crown Court.

Mr Grainger has been given unconditional bail.

Joshua Mason

Joshua Mason, 20, of Bardney Road, Wragby, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to two motoring offences, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on June 2.

The court was told how Mason admitted driving while disqualified from holding a licence.

The incident happened in Lincoln Road, Greetwell on March 19.

Mason has been fined £120 and had his driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

He has been ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £20 victim surcharge.

The court heard how Mason also admitted driving without third party insurance.

He was given no separate penalty for this offence.

Raymond Hyam

Raymond Hyam, 63, of James Court, Welton, has been sentenced for drink driving, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on June 2.

The court was told how Hyam pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Vectra when he was more than one-and-a-half times over the legal limit.

A test showed Hyam had 61 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The incident happened in Ryland Bridge, Welton on April 2.

Hyam has been fined £125 and been banned from driving for 16 months.

He has been ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £20 victim surcharge.

Robert Leahy-Turner

Robert Leahy-Turner, 27, of Lammas Leas Road, Market Rasen, has had a warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to turn up for a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on June 2.

Mr Leahy-Turner had been due in the dock accused of having a quantity of class B drug cannabis in Market Rasen on April 1.

He has not yet entered a plea.

The case has been adjourned.

Stewart Jones

Stewart Jones, 59, of Horncastle Road, Caistor, has been sentenced for an offence under the Criminal Justice Act, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on June 3.

The court was told how Jones has pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

The incident happened in High Street, Lincoln on April 13.

Jones has been fined £40 and ordered to pay £40 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £30 victim surcharge.

Assault charge

A 12-year-old boy from a Market Rasen village has been sentenced for an assault, Lincolnshire Youth Court, sitting at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on June 6.

The court was told how the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty.

The incident happened in Sleaford on April 24.

The boy has been given a six-month referral to the Lincolnshire Youth Offender panel.

And he has been ordered to pay £25 compensation.

Tommy Noade

Tommy Noade, 34, of Vicarage Avenue, Wrawby, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to two charges under the Criminal Damage Act, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on June 7.

The court was told how Noade admitted causing criminal damage to a Peugeot 206, to the value of £400, belonging to a woman in Scunthorpe.

The incident happened on April 10.

And Noade admitted causing criminal damage to a Pioneer car stereo, to the value of £20.

This happened in Scunthorpe on May 10, the court heard.

Noade has been given a 12-month community order and must carry out 40 hours of unpaid work.

He has been ordered to pay £400 compensation, £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and an £85 victim surcharge.

Mark Osbourne

Mark Osbourne, 35, of Whitehall Court, Market Rasen, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to driving while he was disqualified, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on June 9.

The court was told how Osbourne admitted driving a Hyundai Getz vehicle when he was banned from holding a licence.

It happened on the A46 in Lincoln on April , the court was told.

Osbourne has been given a community order and must take part in a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 10 days.

He has been ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £60 victim surcharge, the court heard.
