Crime figures for December in the Brigg and surrounding Wolds area were close to average for that time of year.
In their monthly report, the neighbourhood policing team stated 40 crimes were recorded in the area in December 2012, with 27 of these in Brigg town.
Five cases of assault all took place in private locations in Brigg, while 12 criminal damage offences were committed - one in Melton Ross and the rest in Brigg.
There were four reports of burglary in a dwelling in and around Wrawby and one in Barnetby.
However the greater proportion of the work of the Neighbourhood Police Team in the month was to respond to public and individual needs and concerns not directly crime related.
These related to concerns about property, individuals, general behaviour and safety, as well as traffic related issues.
The majority of cases of legitimate public suspicion and concerns proved to be unfounded.
Of the 27 crimes in Brigg, incidents concerned assault causing actual bodily harm, common assault and battery, and burglary.
The latter included a theft of computers from The Vale Academy; two people are being questioned about these thefts and the items stolen have been recovered.
There were ten cases of criminal damage to property, with one person being questioned about criminal damage at Riverside Surgery, and two crime issues involved the possessing of controlled drugs.
In Barnetby, of the 37 incidents requiring police attention, 23 were traffic related.
