It was hot stuff at The White Swan in Market Rasen earlier this month when the pub raised £1,300 for a children’s cancer charity Little Heroes.
The pub staged an evening firewalk after earlier holding a barbecue, face painting, raffle and bouncy castle, with music from The Sea Dogs and Tom Greenwood. Pub manager Michelle Richards said the day went well and the pub was very busy.
The idea for the walk came when the pub received a postcard through the door in December which promotes the charity firewalks. “We felt it was a good cause and none of us have seen one done before. To make it a full day we decided to do a family fun day as well,” she said.
