People looking to become volunteers can sign up for free training to gain the Lincolnshire Volunteer Card.
The next course will run in four sessions, on Wednesday mornings from 9.45am to 12.30pm, at Brookenby Community Centre and is available to anyone aged 16 years of age and over.
These will take place on March 5, 12, 19 and 26.
The new initiative offers current and potential volunteers free training in skills essential to volunteering, as well as paid work, in a wide variety of roles, including customer care and working to good practice standards.
Participants also have a chance to develop skills in an area of personal interest.
Once training is completed, volunteers receive a certificate and a wallet-sized card, which is recognised countywide, and endorsed by Lincolnshire County Council and the Lincolnshire Health and Well-being Fund.
Volunteers can register for the course by calling Children’s Links Sector Support team on 0845 373 0645 or email LVC@childrenslinks.org.uk
