A free taster session of para-sports takes place in Brigg this weekend.
Following the success of para-athletes at the Commonwealth Games, North Lincolnshire Council is holding a number of consultation and taster events to find out what activities adults with physical disabilities want to get involved in.
These will have a range of free activities for adults aged over 16 - wheelchair sports, archery, table tennis, new-age kurling and much, much more.
Brigg’s event is this Saturday, August 30, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm at Ancholme Leisure Centre.
All adults with a physical disability are welcome to attend the event, along with family members or support workers if required.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
“The events will help us identify what activities people want to get involved in, find out their likes and dislikes, what days and times would suit, where they would like the activities to take place and any other ideas of activities they would like to get involved in,” said Coun Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for customer services, sport and leisure.
“Come along and have a go at a range of different activities and let us know what you think about them.”
