Drink-driver given community order

A DRINK-driver who crashed his car and failed to stop when he was pulled over by police has been sentenced Lincoln Magistrates’ Court.

Christopher Robinson, 26, of Lincoln Road, Brookenby drove off after crashing a Jeep Cherokee into Rhodes Electrical Shop in Oxford Street, Market Rasen on December 4, 2011.

He failed to stop when he was asked to do so by police on the B1203 in Tealby and was caught in Sixth Avenue in Binbrook, two-and-a-half times over the legal drink-drive limit.

Robinson has been disqualified from driving for 23 months and was given a 12-month community order, ordered to do 40 hours’ unpaid work and has to do a drink impaired drivers’ programme.
