Benjamin Lowe, 30, of Brocklesby Park, Kirmington, has admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on April 6.

The court was told how Lowe admitted failing to attend appointments on October 31, 2015, and March 19, this year, and failed to provide evidence for the failure within a specified time.

Lowe has been handed a three-month curfew with electronic monitoring.

And he has been ordered to pay £40 court costs, the court heard.

William Benson

William Benson, 24, of Riverside, Scawby Brook, has pleaded guilty to three charges under the Transport Act, Grimsby Magistrates’ Court heard on April 6.

The court was told how Benson admitted one count of driving a vehicle for work and failing to take at least nine hours rest in a 24 hour period, between October 6 and 7, 2015.

He admitted one count of driving a vehicle for more than 10 hours in a working day, on October 7, last year, the court heard.

And Benson admitted one count of driving a vehicle for more than nine hours in a daily driving period, on October 9, last year.

All three offences happened in Brigg, the court was told.

Benson has been given a 12-month conditional discharge.

And he has been ordered to pay £252 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £15 victim surcharge, the court heard.

Kieran Cadey

Kieran Cadey, 21, of Westland Crescent, North Kelsey, has been sentenced for driving without due care and attention, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court was told on April 7.

The court heard how Cadey pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Mondeo without due care and attention on the A18 in Brigg on March 23.

He has been fined £60 and ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £20 victim surcharge, the court was told.

The court heard how Cadey had also been charged with failing to stop a vehicle on being required to do so by a police constable in uniform on the A18 in Brigg on March 23.

This charge has now been withdrawn, the court was told.

Cadey had not entered a plea.

Ashley Chambers

Ashley Chambers, 27, of Grasby, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a public order offence, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on April 7.

The court was told how Chambers admitted using threatening / abusive words / behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

The incident happened in Scunthorpe on March 18, the court heard.

Chambers has been fined £150.

He has been ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £20 victim surcharge, the court heard.

Mathew Teanby

Mathew Teanby, 42, of College Yard, Brigg, has had a warrant issued for his arrest without bail after he failed to turn up for a hearing at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court on April 7.

The court was told how Teanby had been due in the dock accused of stealing a portable DVD player, to the value of £100, from a woman in Scunthorpe.

It allegedly happened on November 5, last year, the court heard.

Mr Teanby has not yet entered a plea.

The case has now been adjourned, the court was told.

Jonathan Whitwell

Jonathan Whitwell, 22, of Queen Street, Market Rasen, has been sentenced for two offences, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on April 7.

The court was told how Whitwell pleaded guilty to obstructing a constable in the execution of her duty in Market Rasen on October 25, last year.

For this offence, Whitwell was fined £145 and ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £20 victim surcharge.

He also pleaded guilty to failing to stop a BMW vehicle after an accident which damaged ‘property forming part of the land on which the road was situated’, in Willingham Road, Market Rasen, on October 25, last year.

For this offence, Whitwell was fined £145.

Louise Searle

Louise Searle, 23, of Gresham Street, Lincoln, has pleaded guilty to two assaults in Market Rasen, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on April 8.

The court was told how Searle admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Market Rasen on August 18, last year.

Searle had previously pleaded not guilty to this charge but changed her plea at the hearing on April 8, the court heard.

And Searle pleaded guilty to assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty.

This also happened in Market Rasen on August 18, last year.

Searle has been given conditional bail until she is sentenced later this month, the court heard.

The case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
