Thomas Stephens

Thomas Stephens, 20, of Kingfisher Drive, Market Rasen, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how Stephens was drunk and disorderly in George Street, Market Rasen, on January 19.

He has been given an eight-month conditional discharge.

And he was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

David Easton

David Easton, 37, of Hawthorn Avenue, Brigg, has had a warrant issued for his arrest without bail after he failed to turn up for a hearing at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard how Easton has been found guilty of having a kitchen knife in Grammar School Road, Brigg, without good reason or lawful authority.

He has also been found guilty of having a stanley knife in Grammar School Road, Brigg, without good reason or lawful authority.

Both offences happened on October 9 last year.

The court heard how Easton has previously pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court on November 11 last year.

The case has been adjourned.

Richard Plewes

Richard Plewes, 72, of Thornton le Moor, has been sentenced at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court after he pleaded guilty to a string of offences under the firearms act.

The court heard how Plewes had, without a certificate, 22 long rifle rimfire cartridges, a pump action 12 bore shotgun and an H Clarke and Sons 12 bore shotgun.

He also admitted failing to comply with a condition of a shotgun certificate by failing to store multiple shotguns in a secure and safe manner.

The offences happened on June 12 last year.

Plewes has been fined a total of £270 and ordered to pay £50 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Craig Bettany

Craig Bettany, 25, of Plover Square, Caistor, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to drink driving, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how Bettany was more than two times over the legal drink drive limit when he drove a Vauxhall Astra on the B1211 at Brocklesby on February 21.

Bettanty has been banned from driving for 18 months and fined £250.

He has been ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £25 victim surcharge.

Peter Pixsley

Peter Pixsley, 36, of Grimsby Road, Caistor, has been found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how the offence happened in Caistor on November 28 last year.

Pixsley had denied the charge but was found guilty after a trial.

He has been given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £120 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Guy Capp

Guy Capp, 23, of Willesby Court, Brigg, has pleaded guilty to two offences, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how Capp had eight foil wraps of class B drug cannabis in New Barnetby on January 5.

He also admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words of behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress in New Barnetby on January 5.

Capp has been remanded on unconditional bail until later this month.

The case has been adjourned.
