Janice Houlden

Janice Houlden, 56, of Lincoln Drive, Caistor, is to stand trial at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court after she pleaded not guilty to a motoring offence.

The court heard how Ms Houlden denies driving a Vauxhall Astra estate car without due care and attention on Brigg level crossing, Bigby High Road, on June 17 last year.

She is due to stand trial on May 8.

The case has been adjourned until this date.

Wrawby Services Limited

Wrawby Services Limited has been fined £2,500 after being found guilty of disposing of controlled waste in a way that was likely to pollute the environment by setting fire to it on land to the east side of Island Carr Road in Brigg, on December 11, 2012.

The company, based in Whitehall Road, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, was found guilty of the offence after a trial at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard how Wrawby Services Limited must also pay £2,129.50 court costs and a £250 victim surcharge.

Alan Williams

Alan Williams, 43, of Cow Lane, Tealby, has been remanded on unconditional bail after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how the offence happened in Tealby on January 11.

Williams has been bailed until March 20, when he is due back in the dock at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court.

The case has been adjourned.

Simon Lumsden

Simon Lumsden, 60, of King Street, Market Rasen, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to an assault by beating charge, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how Lumsden assaulted a woman by beating her in Welton on January 2.

He has been given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.

Belinda Evans

Belinda Evans, 35, of Mill Lane, Brigg, has pleaded not guilty to three assault charges, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how Miss Evans is accused of assaulting a man and a woman in Brigg on January 18.

She is also accused of assaulting a police officer in Brigg on the same day.

Miss Evans has been remanded on bail until Tuesday, May 20 when she is due to stand trial at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court.

The case has been adjourned until this date.

Stephen McDermott

Stephen McDermott, 53, of Elm Tree Close, Market Rasen, has appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court charged with three counts of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

The court heard how McDermott pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Gordon Field, Market Rasen, on December 28 last year.

He also admitted being drunk and disorderly at Lincoln Railway Station on January 16.

McDermott is also accused of being drunk and disorderly in Ryecroft, Lincoln, on January 30.

He has not yet entered a plea for this charge.

McDermott has been remanded on unconditional bail until Tuesday, February 25.

The case has been adjourned.

Mark Hicks

Mark Hicks, 35, of Elizabeth Terrace, Bigby Road, Brigg, has had a charge against him withdrawn, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how Mr Hicks had been accused of failing to comply with a community order by failing to attend appointments on October 1 and December 30 last year and failing to provide evidence for the failure within a specified time.

This charge has now been withdrawn.

Sandra Neal

Sandra Neal, 48, of School Houses, Broughton, has been sentenced after she pleaded guilty to drink driving, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court has been told.

The court heard how Neal was more than one-and-a-half times over the legal drink-drive limit when she drove a Citroen C3 in Brigg Road, Scunthorpe, on January 18.

She has been banned from driving from 15 months and fined £200.

Neal has also been ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Cain Barratt

Cain Barratt, 18, of Market Place, Brigg, has admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a youth rehabilitation order, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how Barratt failed to adhere to the curfew requirement of the order on January 10, January 19 and January 
20.

Barratt must continue with his order.

And he has been given an additional exclusion requirement to not enter or go within 50 metres of an address in Ripon Close, Scunthorpe.

Kenneth Buckle

Kenneth Bucke, 54, of Eastfield Road, Keelby, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a drink driving charge, Grimsby Magistrates’ Court has heard.

The court heard how Buckle drove a Vauxhall Astra in Washdyke Lane, Immingham, when he was more than two times over the legal drink-drive limit.

The offence happened on December 6 last year.

Buckle has been banned from driving for 18 months.

He has been fined £110.

And he must also pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
