Andrew Banks, 32, of Vicarage Gardens, Wrawby, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to an assault charge, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on March 10.

The court was told how Banks assaulted a man in Brigg on October 9 last year.

He was given a community order and must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months, the court heard .

Banks was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £60 victim surcharge.

Luke Frith

Luke Frith, 28, of Hunts

Lane, Hibaldstow, has pleaded guilty to an ABH charge and a criminal damage charge, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on March 10.

The court was told how Frith admitted assaulting a woman and thereby causing actual bodily harm.

He also admitted causing criminal damage to the woman’s iPhone 5S.

The court heard how both incidents happened in Barton on January 9.

He is due to be sentenced on April 5 and has been given conditional bail until this date.

Alfie Monahan

Alfie Monahan, 22, of Wall Street, Grimsby, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in High Street, Brigg, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on March 10.

It allegedly happened on February 6.

Mr Monahan has not yet entered a plea.

The case has been adjourned.

Paul Glynn

Paul Glynn, 37, of Selbourn Street, Eastwood, Rotherham, has been handed a suspended prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to nine charges under the Trademarks Act in relation to incidents in Hemswell, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on March 17.

The court was told how Glynn admitted two counts of distributing goods bearing a false trade mark, on September 28 in 2014.

This involved a ‘Ministry of Sound Marbella Sessions 2014’ CD which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for trade mark Ministry of Sound.

And a ‘Now That’s What I Call Running 2014’ CD which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for trade mark ‘Now Thats What I Call Running 2014’.

Glynn admitted four counts of possessing goods with a false trade mark for sale, on October 5, 2014, the court heard.

These charges relate to a CD entitled The Noughties, which bore a false Sony Music trade mark, a CD entitled The Ministry of Sound Marbella Sessions 2014, which bore a false Ministry of Sound trade mark, a DVD entitled ‘X-Men Days of Future Past’, which bore a false 20th Century Fox trade mark and a DVD entitled ‘Hercules’, which bore a false Paramount trade mark.

And Glynn admitted three counts of possessing goods with a false trade mark for sale, on March 15, last year, the court was told.

This relates to a DVD entitled ‘Taken 3’, which bore a false 20th Century Fox trade mark, a DVD entitled ‘Big Hero 6’, which bore a false Disney trade mark and a DVD entitled The Hobbit, which bore a false Warner Bros trade mark.

The court heard how Glynn has been given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months and he must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

He has been ordered to pay £220 court costs and an £80 victim surcharge.

Joseph Thompson

Joseph Thompson, 25, of Spring Bank, Binbrook, has been charged with causing death by careless / inconsiderate driving, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on March 17.

The court heard how Mr Thompson allegedly caused the death of Marian Dixon, who died on August 12 last year, two weeks after a two vehicle crash on the B1203 at Swinhope on July 28.

Mr Thompson has not yet entered a plea.

He was not present in court on March 17 and the case has now been adjouoned until April 7, at the request of the defence.

Anthony Manson

Anthony Manson, 36, of Louisberg Road, Hemswell, has had a warrant issued for his arrest without bail after he failed to turn up for a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 17.

Mr Manson had been due in the dock charged with failing to do a police breath test as part of an investigation into whether or not he had committed a road traffic offence in Lincoln on September 15 last year.

He has not yet entered a plea.

The case has been adjourned.

Kieran Dawson

Kieran Dawson, 19, of Chancel Walk, Broughton, has had a warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to turn up for a hearing at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court on March 23.

Mr Dawson is accused of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by allegedly failing, without reasonable excuse, to attend planned appointments on February 8 and March 11 and failing to provide evidence for the failure within a specified time, the court was told.

He has not yet entered a plea.

A warrant has been issued for Mr Dawson’s arrest without bail, the court was told.

The case has been adjourned.
