An archaeological finds drop in session at the Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre proved to be an interesting event.

Lincolnshire’s Finds Liaison Officer for the portable antiquities scheme, Adam Daubney had a busy day as he continued to record an interesting array of finds.

Adam said:” I continue to be surprised by the number of new finds brought in.”

Adam is pictured at the event examining a coin taken along by Jimmy Dutch, right, with, left, Michael O’Bee and Les Brown looking on.

The coin was a Maria Theresa Thater 1780 silver bullion coin, which was in use in world-wide trade.
