The British Red Cross has benefitted from an open garden event held earlier this year.
Jean Goddard, fundraiser for the Grantham area of the British Red Cross, was delighted to receive £450 raised from the Caistor in Bloom Open Gardens and Scarecrow Trail
The event, held in June, was opened by WLDC Chairman Coun Irmgard Parrott and the party toured Caistor with the assistance of Swish Cars limousine.
Many varied and diverse gardens, together with some fantastic efforts by the scarecrow entries, delighted the many visitors.
Some the monies raised will go forward to next year’s event, which is planned for the weekend of June 14-15, 2014 , when there will be a Gardeners Fair in South Street Park consisting of many stalls and a bouncy castle for the younger generation.
Anyone wishing to have a stall should contact Caistor Town Council Clerk Helen Pitman on 01472 851679.
Ideas for next year’s theme are also being sought and these can be sent to email@example.com or call 01472 851883
