Coun MacKenzie took over the chains from Coun Steve Millson last year.

Coun Alan Somerscales has been elected as Caistor’s deputy mayor, after a close run competition with Coun Mike Galligan.

Coun Somerscales and Coun Galligan each got five votes from their fellow councillors.

So the deciding vote was given to mayor Carol MacKenzie, who backed Coun Somerscales.

Coun Galligan served as deputy mayor for the 2015 - 2016 period.

Coun MacKenzie thanked Coun Galligan for all of his work and efforts over the past 12 months.
