"The biggest threat to Market Rasen in years" is a new wave of prostitutes and crack cocaine users coming to the town to deal in narcotics.
That was the topic of discussion for Market Rasen Town Councillors last week when they met to discuss replacing the roof of the auction pavilion in the Market Place, which despite undergoing recent refurbishment at a cost of 2,500 to the taxpayer, has already been vandalised.
But the conversation soon progressed to the town's wider crime and drugs problem, with the reports of the Mill Pond area in George Street being used by drug addicts and even prostitutes.
