A stitch in time for Rasen church

Hours of work and thousands of stitches have gone in to create a new altar frontal for the Lady Chapel at St Thomas's Church in Market Rasen.

Seasoned needleworker Sheena Cook led the team, with the help of husband Christopher, who cut everything out.

An amazing 97,000 machine embroidery stitches are included in each panel, taking more than five hours work for each panel.

The frontal completes the chapel’s refurbishment.
