Forty-four primary, secondary and special schools entered this year’s Lincolnshire Show schools’ challenge.

The initiative was run jointly by The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society and The EBP, a social enterprise which delivers a wide range of enrichment programmes to young people.

The competition had five entry categories and nine challenges to choose from, all linked to the educational curriculum and designed to develop young people’s understanding of food, farming and sustainability.

Schools selected a topic and set up a display about the project in the showground’s main exhibition hall to showcase their learning and understanding to the public.

Steve Ward, chairman of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, announced the results, with Lady Sarah McCorquodale, 2015 president of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, on hand to present the awards.

Wragby Primary School won the Great Gardening Challenge with its miniature show garden.

The EPB would like to congratulate all of the entrants on their achievements.
