THE biggest crowds for many years turned out to watch the Christmas lights switch-on in Brigg.
Stars of this year’s North Lincolnshire pantomime at the Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe warmed up the crowd and among them was Brigg girl Laura Johnson.
Then it was the turn of town Mayor John Kitwood and Mayoress Kath Kitwood to take centre stage and have the honour of turning on the spectacular lights in the square, down into Wrawby Street and on the Market Place Christmas tree.
The Christmas Market, organised by Brigg Lions, had more stalls than ever and Santa was installed in his grotto with a long queue of visitors with orders.
Our camera was there to capture the action on this special night as the Christmas season got underway.
