Things may not be quite what they seem

EDITOR – If what we read on the front page of last week's Rasen Mail, Protest Camp at Rabbit Farm, is the full story then in our democratic England I say fair enough, everyone to their own.

But I wonder if it might be similar to a protest I myself went on many years ago.

If so, things may not be quite what they seem.

On that particular occasion a force of more than 100 men and women headed down to this farm at night in our truck to release pigs in to the wild – or so I thought.

On gathering the following day we all crammed into the local pub and I went round thanking them all for helping the pigs roam the wild as

was intended.

Then, as if in one voice, they all started to laugh their heads off, while pointing fingers and shouting, 'you silly man, didn't you take one home for your freezer'.
