I support new uniform
EDITOR - Following, possibly, the example set by the new academies, I for one will be delighted to witness the smarter standard of dress about to be introduced by the De Aston School in the form of a new blazer.
All this, after years of decline and untidiness which began after this important centre of education ceased to be a grammar school.
I have no doubt that a smart turnout supported by a disciplined regime goes hand in hand with academic achievement - all to do with pride in one's institution.
One only needs to be mindful of the long-standing historic success of our armed forces which has depended on these essential ingredients.
