Farewell and thanks to a great editor

EDITOR - I am very sorry you are leaving, however we wish you well.

Under your leadership, the Rasen Mail has become a valued addition to many coffee tables.

You have always reported impartially on political matters; your very human covering of personal tragedies, has been handled with kindness and respect, rarely seen in the modern media world; on local stories, you have managed to keep the paper focussed on the villages as well as the small towns.

You have also become an expert on pigeons and their welfare. I gather the Mail is also contemplating a 'be nice to pigeons week', guest speakers Coun Bernard Theobald, North Kelsey parish chairman Coun Watson- Smith and of course Mayor Bridger.

I am sure your many friends would thank you for their weekly 'fix'. We shall miss you. With very best wishes, please publish, providing this does not embarrass!

Lewis Strange
