EU vote - Stay calm and carry on

The outcome of the EU referendum will have ramifications for us all, however, we are in danger of being whipped up into a media frenzy, much of it caused by modern gadgetry, and several news outlets, each trying to out do the others in sensationalism.

I strongly suggest not watching the news for two weeks while the country readjusts.

Many sensible people voted for either side, and Europe will need our buying power as much as we need its.

Last Friday, 100 years ago, seven Lincolnshire battalions were among those attacking the German positions on the Somme.

Of those 5,500 men, more than 2,000 were killed or wounded, now those young men really did have something to worry about.
