Dogs’ mess a real problem

EDITOR – I totally agree with Mr Neal (last week’s Market Rasen Mail) that I am tired of dodging dog mess.

I live in Bardney, which is just as bad, and come to Market Rasen regularly to look after my grandchildren, who live on The Furlongs.

Some thoughtful people think its okay for their dogs to foul on the grass in front of their house and all along the path to the little play area, and walking into town up Caistor Road is a nightmare.

I’m baffled as to what sort of people think that it’s fine not to clean up after their dog. Aren’t they worried about walking through it?

They obviously don’t really like it, because they don’t want it in front of their houses.

My daughter rang the council, who were very good and sent someone out to clean up the mess, but what’s the point – it’s back again the next day.

I don’t know what the answer is, but something needs to be done. The risk to children’s health is frightening.

Many thanks for reading my letter.
