02/04/08 - Post office couple who foiled raid deserve a pat on back

EDITOR - My first reaction on reading of how David and Jayne Irons foiled the burglary at their Post Office was that they must be mad. Thery could have been killed.

And then I started to think, no. What they did deserves a pat on the back - good on 'em. Any upright standing person in the community would have done the self same thing.

But once again, how can anyone say I would do this or that until the time comes when you are placed in that same position.

We may all think we've got that strong undercarriage on landing but on thinking, it might be our tyres that let us down.
