Caistor Primary School’s annual camping weekend, organised by the Friends of the School, proved as popular as ever with 30 pitches set up on land belonging to Adrian and Vanessa Hambleton in Moor Lane.

A walk around Claxby and a picnic, an afternoon of family sports and team games, plus musical entertainment were all enjoyed on the Saturday, together with an auction of promises, with items including a meal at the White Hart, a John Blewitt drum lesson, the loan of a beach hut in Sandilands, dog walking sessions, a children’s party and much more.

And after a hearty breakfast on the Sunday morning, the event ended with the famous water fight.
