Staff from Lincolnshire developer Chestnut Homes were thrilled to beat a number of their housebuilding rivals during a hotly-contested go-karting race.

Two teams from the Langworth-based property developers took to the track at the PFI circuit near Grantham to face off against teams from other firms, including housebuilders such as Barratt Homes.

At the end of the race, the Chestnut Homes racers were ranked 5th and 8th out of 12 teams, with the fifth-placed team seeing off several teams from Barratt, Miller and Strata Homes.

Chestnut Homes Director, Robert Newton, said: “It was all a bit of fun and done in good humour, but it was also nice to beat some of our competitors’ teams!”
