A RED hot opportunity to become an on call firefighter is being offered by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.
A recruitment evening for these part-time firefighters, who normally live in the community they serve, have day jobs, but are on hand to answer emergency calls when needed, will take place this month in Binbrook.
The station is looking to recruit six on call staff to support the current team and to provide the community the service that Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue want to deliver.
The recruitment pod will be there to give candidates a chance to have a go at the physical tests that candidates will need to pass.
If people are successful at the tests, they may be prioritised to start on the next training course in April.
Station manager, Neil Bunch, said: “Our recruitment events are really informal. “Come along to find out more about the role of on call Firefighters in Lincolnshire, talk to firefighters and the recruitment team, and have a look around the station.
“We will also talk you through the application process and the physical and written requirements for the role.”
Go along to Binbrook fire station on Saturday, January 22, between 10am and 2pm to find out more and try your hand at firefighting.
