HARNESSING the energies of local people to create a vibrant and welcoming community and make the Rasen area a great place to visit, live and work in.
That is part of the vision statement adopted by the Neighbourhood Plan steering group.
The vision statement, formally adopted at last week’s meeting, also states the group will ‘work in partnership to develop and regenerate Market Rasen as a rural service centre, well connected to the surrounding area, providing 21st century facilities and infrastructure that supports economic growth and community wellbeing.’
Information on the work done so far will be on display at the neighbourhood plan update event, which will be held this Saturday, March 24, at the Salvation Army Centre in John Street, from 10am to 12 noon.
Call in for free refreshments and have your say on the future of your town.
Look at the map and place your favourite improvement area, sign the bus petition and find out more about the Neighbourhood Plan itself and how you can influence the future of where you live.
There will also be the chance to find out about MR BIG - the new business improvement group - which is working with the town’s business owners to invigorate the high street and boost trade.
