IT was a silver celebration for one of Rasen’s churches recently.
The Festival Hall was packed as people of all ages gathered to celebrate 25 years of New Life in Market Rasen.
Guest speaker Stuart Bell, leader of Ground Level and Lincoln New Life, encouraged the church to celebrate everything that had been accomplished and press on towards everything that has been promised.
Guests were welcomed by 13 of the church’s puppet ministry, and X-Stream, their 7-11 Wednesday group, while Turning Point, the Monday group at De Aston, performed a dance for all ages.
Various audio visual presentations captured highlights of the church’s history and nine members of the church shared what a difference God had made to their lives in the past few years.
The work of related ministries – Christians Against Poverty and Point of Contact – was showcased and more than 100 people enjoyed a superb buffet tea provided free of charge.
“We were absolutely thrilled with the afternoon,” said the church’s pastor, Paul Hiley.
“We want to thank everyone who came and everyone who worked so hard to make it a success.
“We look forward with excitement to the next 25 years.”
