RAIN didn’t dampen the spirits at the annual Green Man Day in West Rasen.

Traditional games of skittles, beanbag throwing and welly wanging kept everyone entertained, with plenty of stalls in marquees to keep people occupied during the showers.

The event is the main fundraiser for the village’s Heritage Centre and Village Hall, which holds monthly meetings, plus regular coffee mornings.

“The trustees would like to express sincere thanks to the businesses of Market Rasen for the donation of raffle prizes and to everyone who helped and supported us on the day to keep this centre running,” said chairman John Bennett.
