MUSIC and food come together for a celebration of the county’s finest.

Sounds of Lincolnshire will see the Market Rasen & District Choral Society in concert on Saturday, May 12, in De Aston Sports Hall.

Rowland Lee’s Requiem, John Gladwin’s Fantasia Lindum and Rowland Lee’s orchestral arrangement of Delius’s Brigg Fair all feature in the programme.

The Choral Society will be joined by mezzo soprano Julia Riley, tenor Andrew Bain and The Hallgate Orchestra.

And to complement the sounds of Lincolnshire will be the tastes of Lincolnshire, with an opportunity to taste local products such as cheese from Cote Hill Farm in Osgodby, plum bread from Starbucks of Market Rasen and sausages from R & P Favell of Caistor.

Wine from the local vineyards at Claxby and Somerby will also be available at the bar.

Tickets for the concert cost £12 pre-booked (£14 on door) from The Gift Horse and Priceless in Market Rasen, Caistor Post Office or on 01652 678365.
