GARDENERS – Thirty members of the Barkwith and District Gardeners Association attended the annual dinner with the Turnor Arms, Wragby, the venue of their choice this year.

Chairman Sheila Minns welcomed everyone and provided each guest with a free raffle ticket for Easter Egg prizes.

The group’s annual spring show on Saturday, March 24, is next on the agenda and entries are invited from anyone living within a seven-mile radius of East Barkwith.Schedules, with a choice of 41 classes, are available from David or Sally Ward at the village shop.

A charge of 10p is made for each entry and prize money is 15p, 10p and 5p for first, second and third respectively, with entries to be staged between 8.30am and 10.45pm on the day.

The hall will open at 2.30pm, when judging has been completed, and everyone is invited along to view the exhibits, have a cup of tea and make a bid in the auction of uncollected exhibits.
