Fun times ahead for Brigg WI

MEMBERS of Brigg based Humberside Federation of Women’s Institutes have a lot to look forward to.

A ‘History Wardrobe’ evening featuring a talk by Lucy Addington about Titanic’s tragic voyage will be held at Broughton Village Hall on Friday, July 29 at 7.30pm.

The speaker is recognised by Titanic followers as having a unique presentation of historical costumes, documents and survivor testimonies offering a fascinating glimpse into life on board the ship in that fatal journey in April 1912. Tickets cost £8 and includes a glass of wine.

The Humberside Federation has secured funding for equipment and targeted workshops to aid and assist WI and Federation Officers and Committees.

Members enjoyed a day out at Brocklesby Fair in June and will be visiting The Festival of the Plough at Epworth in September. In September members will visit Saltaire in the West Riding.
