A RASEN area bed and breakfast is about to be put to the test on national television.

Wold View House B/B at Bully Hill Top, near Tealby, is to be featured on Channel 4’s Four in a Bed series next week, which is aired each day from 5pm to 5.30pm.

Owner, Irene Ward Kendall welcomed three other accommodation providers to her country B/B at the top of the Lincolnshire Wolds, where each group secretly paid what they considered to be a fair amount for their stay before finding out at the end of the week which was named the best value.

The winner receiving a thousand pounds - but Irene is keeping quiet as to the outcome.

“I applied to be featured on the show to have fun, show-case Lincolnshire and Tastes of Lincolnshire, of which I am a member,” said Irene

“I welcomed rivals from Thirsk, Edinburgh and Wales, clocking up 1030 miles - thank goodness for sat navs!

“At home I had to provide dinner for 16 people, including the production team, film crew and guests, as well as putting on an activity. I focused on local food, providing a Taste of Lincolnshire dinner and breakfast with exclamations of ‘What’s haslet?’

“It was such hard work, as the filming was continuous but what a great experience, meeting some lovely people and viewing some lovely places too.”

Following the five day screening, the programme will be featured again in full on the Sunday.
