Light sabres, Yoda ears and finger puppets - Market Rasen Library was the place to be for young Star wars fans.

Even Princess Leia (aka Gail Lee) turned up to help.

The event was part of the regular free craft activity mornings organised by the library staff.

And this one certainly proved to be a hit, with youngsters packing into the library to take part.

All this activity can prove thirsty work, but Jenny Stimson, Tesco Market Rasen’s Community Champion, was on hand to support with free drinks and biscuits.

The next planned free event is a Hallowe’en-themed morning on October 31.

Also in the half-term week, the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology will be back with Viking Voyagers.

This family craft and activities session runs from 10am to 12 noon on Wednesday, October 28

Make a Thor’s hammer pendant and create your own Viking Long-ship, decorate a Viking shield and decode Runic messages

Admission is free, but there is a charge of £1 per activity.

There is no need to book, just turn up, but children must be accompanied.
