At Eileen Burnett’s 80th birthday party, held in Caistor Town Hall, not only did she raise £500 to be donated to St Andrew’s Hospice in Grimsby, but her six sisters and three brothers joined her for the celebrations.

The family came from Cumbria, Messingham, Scunthorpe, Luddington, Ashby, Immingham, Selby and Caistor.

An undisclosed amount was also donated to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

“It was lovely for the whole family to be together with friends and relations, especially raising such a fantastic amount for a good cause. Thanks to everyone for their generosity,” said Eileen. (Lin)
