AN OUTDOOR parents and toddler group is fighting for its future by joining a national campaign to save woodland from being sold off to private owners.
Lincolnshire Waldorf Parent and Child Group fear their idyll home at Chambers Farm Woods, near Wragby, could be lost if this ancient forest is among the 15 per cent of land set to be sold by the Forestry Commission.
As reported in last week’s Market Rasen Mail, the move, which may also affect staff at Willingham Woods, comes after the commission was asked to raise £100 million under the Government’s Spending Review targets.
Jenny Davey, 38, who organises the group, said all of the members had signed 38 Degrees’ Save Our Forests petition, which has already obtained more than 25,000 signatures nationwide.
