The Lincolnshire Wolds has changed over the years, but how would you like it to change – or not – over the coming years?
The Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service wants to hear from you about the future.
The Lincolnshire Wolds was designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1973, recognising it as one of the country’s finest landscapes, a designation on a par with the National Parks.
A draft management plan for 2012-2017 has been prepared by the Lincolnshire Wolds Joint Advisory Committee (the AONB partnership of 21 organisations) and the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service.
Coun Lewis Strange, chairman of the Lincolnshire Wolds Joint Advisory Committee, said: “The Lincolnshire Wolds is a hidden jewel of the English countryside. Change is an intrinsic characteristic of the Wolds, but the type, scale and pace of change does need to be carefully managed.”
Go to www.lincswolds.org.uk to look at the plan and fill in a response form. It is also free from libraries or by contacting the 01507 609740.
But be quick. The final date for comments is November 30.
