RESIDENTS throughout West Lindsey who are using more than one green garden waste bin could soon be facing an additional bill.
When the council’s triple bin refuse collection system was introduced almost two years ago everyone in the district became entitled to have one green bin emptied for free.
Additional bins could be provided but there would be a charge.
But now the council has been alerted to the fact that some properties are leaving out more than one green bin for collection even though no payment has been made for additional bins.
Waste services manager Glyn Pilkington said: “Letters are going out to residents explaining that additional bins have to be paid for at the current charge of £27.90 a year or the bin will have to be returned to us.
