Around 50 volunteers gathered on the banks of the River Ancholme just north of Brigg to collect litter and tidy the area which is known for its fly-tipping.

Why? Because they are a group of like-minded people whose hobby it is to geocache - a gps based treasure hunt.

As part of an on-going environmental initiative, they, along with thousands of other geocachers around the world, have been cleaning up parks and public areas.

The Brigg event, arranged by Stephen McGeough from Great Limber, was certainly a huge success with two huge piles of rubbish gathered for the council to take away.
