Lincolnshire Police in partnership with Trading Standards started a new initiative on November 3 to clamp down on doorstep crime and rogue traders who often focus on the elderly and other vulnerable residents.

PCSO Dawn Cowlings, of Caistor Police Station, visited the Arts and Heritage Centre to talk to local residents about looking out for both themselves and their neighbours. She urged them to call 101 and ask to speak to the neighbourhood policing team if they see anything suspicious.

The Caistor visit follows similar campaigns in Market Rasen, where police and trading standards officers have given talks to the elderly at residential homes.
