Young Enterprise team ‘ZubZero’, from Caistor Yarborough Academy, have taken part in the latest Trade Fair, held at The Waterside Shopping Centre in Lincoln, where all Lindsey Area Board teams participated.

Through the Young Enterprise process, students have created a product called ‘Learning Made Easy’, an educational learning resource for primary school children.

And Caistor Yarborough’s ICT department have programmed and put the disc together using some quite advanced skills.

The Trade Fair enabled the group to engage with members of the public and a judging panel, gaining valuable feedback about product design and advice over sales, as well as the chance to sell their product direct to the public.

“Students have gained much from this event,” said Mark Ward, teacher of business studies.

“They have received valuable feedback about their products from the general public and judging team.

“It was a thoroughly enjoyable day for all involved.”

Students carried out independent market research, have sold shares and carried out fundraising events to raise money to purchase raw materials and pay for costs.
