Children at the Lincolnshire Montessori in Caistor are getting involved in green woodworking as part of the process of building an outdoor classroom.

Several workshops with Greenheart, a social enterprise leading workshops in green woodworking and environmental projects, are taking place over a few weeks.

The practical workshops, which cater for all ages, are an exciting and informative way to engage children and adults, raising their awareness of environmental and sustainability issues while having fun and being creative.

Greenheart believe in keeping traditional woodland skills alive and use
Sustainable locally sourced wood in their projects.

And the children had great fun using hand tools and the traditional techniques.
