A GROUP of students from De Aston School have shown their mathematical skills by passing the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge.
One student, Tek Hong Chung, has also qualified for the Olympiad paper as a result of the challenge – becoming the first student from De Aston in 18 years to do so.
To reach this stage is an achievement in itself, all the more so as questions are set above the A-level standard and Tek is still only in Year 11.
The results from the Olympiad paper are due later this month.
Pictured with their challenge certificates are Olasupo Majasan, Andrew Sui, Graham Codd and Yat Chun Lee, with Tek Hong Hung seated.
