Caistor Yarborough Academy’s newsroom was buzzing as students created their fifth award winning newspaper, The Eagle, in association with the University of Lincoln.

Working alongside journalist advisors, students reported on events, activities and stories in the Academy and the local community, creating a 16-page tabloid in a day, printed at Mortons of Horncastle.

“One headline in this edition is a story of the 75th birthday of the school and hopefully the news will encourage people to talk about it so they can join in the celebrations,” said Jeni Lowe, the Academy’s Community Co-ordinator.

Copies of the ‘Eagle’ will be available soon from the school.
