De Aston School’s Sixth Formers were applauded today for their admirable individual performances in a range of academic and vocational qualifications.
The school’s students achieved a set of excellent results including the attainment of the highest possible A* and A grades, as well as an array of students who gained fabulous personal results.
Year 13 students who gained the highest grades possible, the A-level A*, included Abigail Woolley, Hannah Chan, Elisabeth Davidson, Siem Hoonhorst, and Peter Randall.
Students who achieved an A grade or equivalent include Kate Cooling, Elaine Fong, Abby Hunter, Georgia Chapman-Wells, Ebony Daley, Bobbi Fox, Bethany Lomax, Oluwaskemi Olunloyo, Emma Richards, Tonicha Watson, Alex Weber, Gabriella Whybrow and Stephanie Wright.
Overall the A*-E A Level pass rate was 97 percent.
In Year 12, there were notable subject successes for a number of students, including Alice Gains, Poppy Smith, Matilda Kombey, Bethany Ward, Mary Dean and Ciara Dodd.
Headteacher Ellenor Beighton commended the “perseverance of the students and the commitment of the staff”.
She added: “The students worked very hard for what they accomplished and should be proud of their individual performances.
“This is a set of results that demonstrates the school’s continued drive for success for every individual learner.”
