‘Super results’ for De Aston students

De Aston School’s students have been commended by headteacher Ellenor Beighton for their Year 11 results.

The school had a significant number of students gaining the top A* and A grades, however, top spot went to Abigail Woolley with an amazing A* or A in all of her 11 GCSEs.

“I wish to congratulate all the students who did GCSE and Vocational qualifications for their dedication and hard work,” said Mrs Beighton.

“Looking at what we know so far, there are many students who can be rightly proud of their achievements.

“There are some super results at the highest grades in both traditional GCSEs and also Applied courses.”

Those Year 11 students who collected the top grades included Marco Chow with 10 A*/A grades, along with Thomas Brocklebank and Courtney Baxter who both achieved 8 subjects at this level.

Top scorers Abigail Woolley from Walesby and Elisabeth Davidson from Ludford who will be staying on at De Aston for A-Levels.

Elisabeth Davidson, Cherie Macmillan and Georgia Willey, amongst others, achieved 7 A*/A grades.
