Students enjoyed a great year of activities at Market Rasen Learning Centre - and recruitment is now on for the new school year.

CG Partnership’s Flare programme is for 16 to 18-year-olds who need to develop their skills and confidence to move on to college, work or an apprenticeship.

The course involves both practical subjects and qualifications and is geared to the needs of the individual student.

Lead tutor Charlotte Barnett said: “I am very proud of our students’ achievements last year.

“We had good results in maths and English exams and saw many students progress on to college apprenticeships.”

Shannon Gilliatt, 18, took part in the programme and said she really felt the benefits of the course.

She said: “We participated in a skills challenge day where I got to try out cooking, driving a digger and riding a moped and we won.

“I have completed my L2 maths and English, completed valuable work experience and gained many skills which will help with employment.”

Students get a training bursary of up to £20 per week as well as bonuses for good attendance and achievement.
